Euro 2024 kicks off this Friday 14th June with the hosts Germany taking on the supreme, sensational Scotland (ahem, fans) in the opening game.
Hopefully one of these 2 teams will be the ultimate champions ><. I usually support the underdog, however, sorry Germany, I’m making an exception in this match, I’ll be cheering on my team, Scotland! 😉
Here’s the Kraków Expats Directory guide to where to watch the games.
There is no official fan zone (Strefa Kibica) this year as has there has been in the past on Błonia and Mały Rynek, but we’ve listed the best options for following your team.

Fitba Factoids
The SCO v ENG match is the oldest International match in the world, having first been played in Scotland, in 1872.
The oldest football in the world was found at Stirling Castle, dating from 1540-1570, and is now on display at a museum in the city. I lived and worked in Stirling, but haven’t seen it yet.
The best ever football goal, ever, in the world, in the history of football (from a Scots perspective 😉 )
Archie Gemmill solo wonder goal v Holland – World Cup 1978
The 2nd best goal ever, with the best commentary…
James McFadden 40 yard blooter v France 2007
To conclude on the rather light hearted, tongue in cheek Scottish slant, I’ve included links to a series of Euro 2024 ads from ‘Irn Bru’ who are renowned for their risqué innuendo laden and hilarious ads.
The Scotland at Euro 2024 ads focus on optimism and ‘mannshcaft. Take a look.
