Aleksandra Głód-Ahmed, has been appointed as the first ever Honorary Consul General of India in Kraków, with consular jurisdiction over the provinces of Malopolska, Swiętokrzyskie and Podkarpackie.
Aleksandra has long standing, personal, professional and cultural with connections with India, having worked and lived in India, she also fell in love with and in India, marrying her husband Shahan, then settling in Kraków.
Kraków TV had a chat with Aleksandra at her recent inauguration event.
Aleksanda was appointed as honorary consulate general earlier this month by the Government of India, with the consent of the Government of the Republic of Poland.
An inauguration ceremony took place on 15th September 2024, attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of India to Poland and Lithuania, HE Nagma Mohamed Mallick, dignitaries, diplomats, and community representatives.
