The 41st International Folk Art Fair, takes place on Rynek, from Thursday 10th- 27th August 2017. The fair will be officially opened at midday on Thursday by president Majchrowski.
The fair is the largest presentation of Polish folk art and handicrafts and folk art in Europe, providing visitors an excellent opportunity to sample the rich tradition and creativity of Polish folk art, including; potters, lace-makers, folk sculptors, weavers, embroiderers, sculptors and blacksmiths.
As well as the merchants and artists, there will be a varied programme of accompanying musical performances, not just folk music or folk inspired, performing on the stage under the Town Hall Tower, which will promote cities and counties from Poland, Slovakia, Ukraine, Romania and Hungary.
