Try a glass of red with dry Hummus with Lard, a glass of white wine with a light grilled eggplant Baba Ganoush dip, and pink wine with cheesy, melting Knefe cake served hot straight from our oven!
The whole thing is supervised by the best team in town, Fawzé Semaan, who has had hummus in his Lebanese blood since birth, and Lidia Hutniczak, who decided to bring hospitality, sun and his grandmother’s recipe for toum from Lebanon in a suitcase (oh my! the best garlic dip!). Straight from the oldest vineyard in the Bekaa Valley Domaine des Tourelles, we brought the best Lebanese wines to Krakow for you!

Our Story
Me, Lidia, a traveller and former exchange student to UK, Italy and Germany and Fawze – an expat in Poland and former expat to US, France, UAE – we decided to open up a place that will be a home to Expats in Krakow. A place where everyone feels welcome and can find their crowd – not depending on where you are from or what religious views you have.
We are proud to host a lot of intercultural events and gatherings – recently we had a Yalda Night, we are celebrating Christmas soon, we had a Persian New Year and are hoping to host a variety of traditional events in the near future.
Our doors and hearts are wide open to anyone who wants to meet up in a laid back atmosphere. We host Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Arabic and Polish Meetings weekly.
We organise Speed Friending, Couchsurfing, Mafia Games, Pub Quiz, open mic & stand up comedies, Tower of Babel International Meetings and often host Jam Sessions and Live Music.
We introduce Polish Culture to foreigners through multiple events, ex. Andrzejki Night recently, or Doughnut Day on Tłusty Czwartek (Fat Thursday). We hosted a Pumpkin Carving Event that was a great success and a lot of fun, and a bonding opportunity to expats in Krakow. We love that people make friends at Layla and that they keep coming back whenever they feel homesick – they know that they will meet a friendly face every time they show up at Layla.
Festive Community Celebrations
As we experienced Christmas abroad ourselves, we know how important it is to be able to find a friendly spot for a meeting during this time. This is the main reason why we decided to keep Layla open every day during Christmas – we want to give back to the community, as we were hosted abroad in friendly places during this time.
We made sure our Christmas Buffet is affordable for anyone who would like to join us during this time (59 PLN). It is not mandatory to buy the buffet offer, so if anyone wants to join just for a drink – our doors are wide open.

Everyone is welcome, join us for mulled wine and good time! We will be there all Christmas for you, as this is why we opened Layla in the first place – to give to community and build this warm atmosphere, which is so visible especially around Christmas Time!
