1,874 Teddy bears & soft toys for children’s hospital

On Sunday, (14.01.24) for the 10th year, fans of Cracovia Ice Hockey club, threw hundreds of teddy bears and soft toys onto the ice for charity

During the game against Oświęcim, the fans waited until the 23rd minute when Cracovia scored to throw the toys onto the ice. 1,874 toys were collected which will be given, by players, to Kraków Children’s Hospital and children’s homes in the city.

Cracovia players wore special shirts which will be auctioned for charity.

The charity ‘teddy bear toss’ during the game,  is an annual event, which drew the biggest crowd of the season so far. Fans attending with a teddy bear, only pay 1 zł admission, compared to the standard 20 zł ticket price

 The game itself was action packed, Cracovia lost the game 5:4 despite being ahead for much of the game, when Oświęcim scored a golden goal in added time.
