IWAK – international women’s association of Kraków, are a social non profit group connecting our diverse community of women from more than 25 nationalities.
Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform where women can network, collaborate, and empower each other to create meaningful change.
CELEBRATING 30 YEARS
IWAK was established 30 years ago by group of ladies to help each other settling into a polish reality. Even though now it’s much easier to get by in Kraków, IWAK’s aim remains the same. We are helping newcomers to settle in and find friends though organising events catered to our community such as: social gatherings, volunteering, networking, kids friendly activities.

INTEREST GROUPS
We have a number of Interest groups, open to IWAK Members, and we are continually expanding our offerings. Current groups include:
- Reading Club: Our Reading Club meets monthly to discuss a carefully selected book for the month. What makes it unique is that we alternate meeting times, so you can join us in the morning or evening, depending on your schedule.
- Art Group: The Art Group is all about exploring the vibrant world of art. We organise visits to museums, galleries, festivals, and participate in creative workshops. Join us to unleash your artistic side.
- Culture & Travel Club: Discover the world’s cultures and satisfy your wanderlust with our Culture & Travel Club. We organise engaging outings and restaurant meet-ups with a chosen country theme each month, offering you a cultural journey within Kraków. This is an open invitation to newcomers and a unique opportunity for participants to share their experiences of living or traveling to the featured country. Our gracious host leads the way with an enlightening presentation.
- Moms Group: Calling all mothers! Our Moms Group is dedicated to organising family outings and activities, providing opportunities for both moms and kids to connect, learn, and have fun.
We are continually introducing new interest groups, so stay tuned for more exciting opportunities to engage with our diverse community.
But that’s not all! We understand that taking the first step to join a community can be a big decision.
That’s why we offer regular newcomer meetings, where you can meet long-time members, find answers to your questions, and receive helpful tips about life in Kraków.
These gatherings also provide a great opportunity to get to know us and get a taste of what IWAK is all about. So whether you’re new in town or simply looking to enrich your experience in Kraków, we invite you to explore IWAK and join us on this empowering journey.
