The ever popular Night of Museums (Noc Muzeów w Krakowie 2016) takes place on the evening of 13th/14th May 2016.
This year for the 13th edition, the theme will be “Discovering the Unknown” and will be launched at 6pm at przy ul. Piłsudskiego 14b w Pawilonie Józefa Czapskiego. (National Museum)
In Kraków and across Poland, crowds of people queue to get night time entry and often access to otherwise unavailable sections of 25 Museums across the city.
in 2015 a staggering 145 thousand people took part in the Night of Museums.
For a nominal fee of 1 zł you will receive a specially minted commemorative coin which acts as your ticket and also provides free public transport on the evening from 6pm-3am 13/14th May.

Night of Museums in Cracow was first held in 2004 modelled on Berlin’s “Lange Nacht der Museen”.
Some museums require prior reservation (Schindlers, Rynek Underground Museum, Cracow Saltworks Museum, Wieliczka)
