Poland and Kraków celebrated National Independence Day (Narodowe Święto Niepodległości), on 11th November, when Poles commemorated the 107th anniversary of the restoration of Poland’s sovereignty as the Second Polish Republic in 1918, after 123 years of partition.
Events in Kraków included a parade from Wawel through Rynek, to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier on Plac Matejko, where official celebrations took place. The national anthem is played from Mariacki tower and sung (quietly 😉 ) by the public gathered on the square.
