A trial partial pedestrianisation and traffic restrictions take effect from today (10/7/17) on part of Plac Nowy and ul Estery.

The experimental traffic restrictions, starting today, will be followed, from 15th July until 6th August, with the installation of planters and seating to create a more attractive pedestrian and cyclist friendly ‘green’ space.  The good news is that, depending on public opinion and feedback, at pubic consultations and workshops, the changes could become permanent in the future.

Limited vehicle access for deliveries and special services will be restricted to certain hours, and suggested diversions for drivers have been published.

This, so called, ‘prototyping method’ provides all interested parties, businesses, authorities, and not least the residents, motorists, cyclists and pedestrians who use the busy Plac Nowy,  an opportunity to assess and experience the effects, benefit and impact of any longer term changes to the area.

As part of the consultation, the public will have a chance to take part in the following workshops and consultations;

Consultation Point, Plac Nowy
July 22nd, 24th, 25th, 26th
5pm-7pm

Engineering Museum (Muzeum Inżynierii Miejskiej), sw. Wawrzyńca 15
27th July & 3rd August
