Come along to meet, make and be merry! This May, Collaborate Krakow focuses on the richness of Polish folk traditions – with a modern twist!
This event will reshape your perception of ethnography, as we hear from 3 locals proving how exciting and still relevant drawing inspiration from traditions can be.
After getting inspired by our speakers, choose from one of the following workshops and go home with a new skill, new ideas and new friends.
Workshop A: White Voice
This traditional Slavic singing technique comes straight from the soul and mountains within. Learn to release your inner mountain with Kasia Dorota.
Workshop B: PWeaving bracelets!
on that small tablet weaving workshop you will try one of the oldest weaving technik well known in all medieval europe. All participant will have weave his own tablet weaving bracelet.
Workshop C: Embroidery’s not dead!
Embroidery with attitude. Meet Złote Rączki (‘Golden hands’, Polish for ‘Jacks of all trades’), activists armed with needles and coloured thread. They will totally reimage this art form for you. Forget village grannies and think black protest, beards and techno.
