This evening, 13th-14th May, the 18th edition of the popular Museum Night (Noc Muzeów w Krakowie 2022) makes a welcome return.

“The Power of Museums for Ukraine” is the theme for this year, and will also be available in Ukrainian. language version, at selected locations fundraisers will be organised to support Ukraine

More than fifty establishments will take part this year.  Most museums extend their opening hours for Museum Night, with special programmes which include permanent and temporary exhibitions, making available unique places that are normally inaccessible to visitors, as well as special attractions: workshops, multimedia presentations, shows and guided tours.

Since 2004 the cities museums and galleries have opened their doors for the ‘Night of Museums’ (Noc Muzeów),  modelled on Berlin’s “Lange Nacht der Museen”, as part of the ‘Kraków Nights’ (Krakowskie Noce) series – consisting of Theatre, Dance, Jazz, Poetry and Cracovia Sacra nights.

Admission to most museums is payable, all museums are subject to prior registration and reservations.

Registration and reservations are available on the websites of each museum participating in the Night of Museums.
